It’s Catherine with Titan Impact Group and I’ve been asked “what are the best places to invest in real estate”.
What it comes down to is the numbers. I’m a spreadsheet nerd, and for me it’s all about the numbers, and understanding real estate.
If everybody understands that real estate is cyclical; It goes up, it goes down, it goes up, it goes down. It’s cyclical; it is what it is. What we know is that any time we are investing, we want to buy low and sell high. So that’s what it comes down to with real estate investing.
In knowing where the best place to invest in, you need to be really clear on what type of investing you’re going to do. Are you going to do wholesale? Are you going to fix and flip? Are you going to do buy and hold? You can do Airbnb, or you can do tax liens, tax deeds, notes, what are you going to do?
And then inside of that you want to understand, based on whichever one you choose, what are the laws in each state around that investment type and what are the easiest ways to invest? The reality is that I’m not out to change any laws, but I will take the path of least resistance when it comes to different ways to invest in real estate.
What it comes down to is you understanding all of those things and being really clear and then getting a mentor that will actually walk you through the process, hold your hand and teach you the best way to invest in that particular niche.
